That´s what was written when it came out around 1985. Now, the technical aspect is secondary. This is one of the first generation CD-Players with vertical CD loading mechanism. Still in excellent working condition. You can see the CD rotating.
The optical condition is excellent. Only light wear here and there. nothing serious. Technically, it played all our critical test CD´s without hesitating or "jumping between the tracks". The vertical for every day use.
Plays burned/self made CD´s, even scratched ones.
