Sansui SD 7000, rare!
The Sansui SD 7000 4 Track Autoreverse Reel to Reel represents the advanced technology and design from 1971. If you compare this unit and its features to other decks build during this period of time, you will notice that the SD 7000 was avantgarde... Not only regarding its retail price!
The reel motors were directly driven, the Autoreverse function initiated the "new listening comfort", "repeat" and "rewind" function gave this machine an aura of highest technological standard. The "Golden Years" of High Fidelity and Sansui were born.
So it is even harder to understand, why Sansui did not continue to develop reel to reel´s. As far as I know, this was one of 2 decks they ever built. Now, it could be the "favourite toy" of every reel to reel collector´s playground. A real eycatcher you hardly see anywhere.
The optical and technical condition is excellent. The capstan belt has been replaced after 33 years. The unit was cleaned, serviced and aligned to its original specs. It will be delivered without the reels on the picture, but comes with the original remote!
