This is what Luxman is really outstanding for: The Tube Amplifiers. This is the top of the line pre from 1985-1989.
Sonically, a dream amp with absolute velvet timbre. The pre you listen to great recorded voices with a horn speaker. There is no better sound-emotion balance that tube horn combinations.
Works very well in hybrid combos as well. I used it a while with a Sony TA-8550 V-Fet and under certain circumstances, it is mind blowing :-).
